Are you trying to determine whether you should be using cartomizers or reusable atomizers? Simple...in the race between the cartomizer vs. atomizer, the cartomizer always wins! When I was shopping for my first electronic cigarette I to was confused by all the options and price variances among the 100's of e-cigarette stores. Please learn from me, high price does not always mean high quality and I am speaking from experience. My first e-cigarette used refillable cartridges and reusable atomizers. Initially it worked great but as the days followed inconsistencies appeared. For no reason at all smoke volume would fluctuate, random leakage would burn my tong, and my hands were sticky from refilling the e-liquid. When I ordered new atomizers they were not identical in appearance or performance. If you emailed support regarding the issue they would have you send it back and they would send you a new one, but this was a tremendous inconvenience given it required me going to the post office to return a $15 piece of junk only to wait 10 days for another $15 piece of junk that cost me more postage and hassle.
In case you are a new consumer of e-cigarettes, atomizers are the heating element which vaporizes the "e-liquid" stored in the cartridge. The cartridge resembles a cigarette butt and serves as a container which stores the e-liquid (nicotine solution). Because the atomizer needs air present for vaporization there is a small piece of cloth like material which absorbs the e-liquid. If you take any knowledge from this article let it be that a lower quality electronic cigarette will use refillable cartridges that are separate from the atomizer. Premium e-cigarettes offer cartomizers which are cartridges permanently attached to the atomizer and are not intended for refill.
